Takeaways from the Integrative Healthcare Symposium in NYC

We recently had the opportunity to attend the Integrative Healthcare Symposium in New York City from February 19–21, and it was an incredible experience connecting with healthcare leaders, researchers, and practitioners focused on holistic approaches to patient care. Visiting the symposium provided fresh insights into trends, research, and innovations that are shaping the future of integrative health.

At our booth (1003), we had the chance to engage with healthcare providers and fellow researchers, sharing information about our work in women’s health and ME/CFS support. Many attendees were particularly interested in the role of nutrition, hormonal balance, and innovative therapies in managing fatigue, cognitive challenges, and post-exertional malaise. The conversations reinforced how critical awareness and education are in translating research into practical patient care.

Another key takeaway was the importance of collaboration across disciplines. Integrative healthcare thrives when physicians, nutritionists, mental health professionals, and researchers work together, exchanging knowledge and strategies to optimize patient outcomes. The symposium highlighted how interdisciplinary collaboration can accelerate the development of treatments and improve support for patients living with chronic conditions.

Overall, the Integrative Healthcare Symposium was a powerful reminder of how far integrative medicine has come—and how much potential it holds for improving lives. We left NYC energized and inspired, with new ideas, connections, and strategies that will help us continue supporting the ME/CFS and women’s health communities in meaningful ways.

Stay tuned for more insights and updates from the symposium, and learn how we’re applying these takeaways to our work in patient education, advocacy, and support.
